“The Greatest Country in the World”
The US has all the money it could ever want (and keeps printing more). It has the world’s largest and strongest military, backed by outsize spending.
By this definition:
a nation with its own government, occupying a particular territory.
The USA is the greatest country in the world. But not the most harmonious.
You mess with us, we’ll spend 2 trillion dollars showing you to stay where you are.
Our greatest enemies are not Al Qaeda and their ilk, but our classic adversaries of China and Russia. And how are they waging war against the greatest army in the world?
They’re using “we the people.”
“The Enemy From Within”
The fact that the man is going to be our next president is not really a shocker. He won once, and the democrats really lost the plot on this election.
What’s more depressing is the amount of division in our country has bubbled up to this man’s consciousness so that he’ll characterize the “enemy from within.” (Is he responsible for stoking that division? Yes.)
If the enemy is from within, then who are they? Radical leftists torching buildings? Radical right wing people going after FEMA?
The enemy from within is the polarization we’ve traded in for practicality. The enemy within is handing our brains over to platforms that want to use, abuse and monetize the s**t out of us.
But there’s no excusing the abusing, we are the enemy within. Supported by platforms that our enemies can use just as easily.
Weapons of Mass (Media) Destruction
The greatest weapon that China has deployed against the USA is Tiktok.
The greatest weapon Russia has deployed is its army of fake accounts on platforms like Facebook.
These are weapons that we willingly download and equip on our person’s in the name of free speech and doom scrolling, etc.
We shouldn’t.
If we want to be the greatest country on the world, we can’t let our hearts and minds be taken in by manufactured, false, catered and hyperbolic nonsense that our enemies are pumping in front of our faces. And social media companies aren’t going away tomorrow.
So what can we do?
Start talking to each other and Delete Social Media™️.
Maybe then we’ll live up to our greatness.
